100G Stressed Eye Generator & BER Tester

The stressed eye generator is intended to test 100G modules and systems with 802.3 SR4/8 stress. It has several unusual features:

  1. It is a stand alone 850nm 100G PRBS generator and error detector for stress testing and it generates a stress signal from 8GB/s to 28GB/s.
  2. It can also be used with existing traffic generators as an inline stress generator by adding stress to an existing PRBS or ethernet optical signal.
  3. The signal meets the SEC and Jitter requirements of 802.3.

To Test 100G SR4 Stress on 100/200G Port

Optically connect the system output to the stress generator and stress generator to the DUT system input.  Set desired stress or jitter and check error rates.

To Test 100G SR4 Stress on an optical module

Optically connect instrument to DUT on an MCB. Set the MCB to loop electrical RX to TX. Set desired stress and the instrument can measure BER vs Power with stress.
