The CCS PAM4 stressed eye generator is intended to test modules and systems with 802.3 PAM4 Stress .  This system has 3 unusual features:

  1. It can be used as a stand alone 1310nm PRBS 25Gbaud generator and error detector for stress testing modules and systems with PAM4 or NRZ.
  2. It can be used with existing PAM4 sources as an inline stress generator, by adding compliant stress to existing optical 25Gbaud PAM4 signals.

To Test PAM4 Stress on a 200G/400G Port

Optically connect the system output to the stress generator and stress generator to the DUT system input.  Set desired stress and check error rates.

To Test PAM4 Stress on an Optical Module

Optically connect the instrument to the DUT on an MCB. Set the MCB to loop electrical the RX to TX. Set the desired stress and the instrument can measure BER vs Power with stress.
